Governors’ Camp is one of the most iconic and historic tented safari camps in Kenya. Governors’ Camp is located inside the Masai Mara National Reserve along the Mara River. The area is renowned for its prolific wildlife and year-round game viewing, particularly around the Musiara Marsh – one of the best places to see big cats, elephants, hippos, and migrating herds.


How to Get There

  • By Air: Daily scheduled flights are available from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Musiara Airstrip, just 15 minutes from the camp. Transfers are arranged by the camp.
  • By Road: Approximately 6–7 hours’ drive from Nairobi via Narok and the Sekenani or Oloololo Gates. A 4×4 vehicle is required, especially during the rainy season.
